This month we’re proud to once again support Education through Music, Los Angeles and the music program at Aldama Elementary School!

Education Through Music-Los Angeles (ETM-LA) partners with under-resourced schools to provide music as a core subject for all children and utilizes music education as a catalyst to improve academic achievement, motivation for school, and self-confidence.

Education Through Music-Los Angeles believes that every child deserves access to high-quality music education, taught by qualified and well-trained music teachers. Music can support learning in other key subjects, including math, science and language arts. Engaged parents and school communities are key to the success of students.

In 2018, Donut Friend worked with ETM-LA to jump start the music program at Aldama Elementary School, just a few short blocks from our Highland Park location. We’re continuing that partnership this month by making them our #donutfunds recipient for May. When you purchase a #compassionfruit donut this month, 50% of that sale will go directly back into the Highland Park community, improving the lives of local children by giving them access to a quality music eduction!
